I don't have it, but I tested it out on a FRS at the SF international car show. It slides very well, and feels comfortable. I think it is a lot more practical than the JDM armrest, but I still don't like how it looks.

Sitting on my coffee table. Just waiting on some JPM Coachworks knee pads to show up, since that also requires taking out the center console to install. As noted, it slides pretty nice, even uninstalled. Should be really smooth when actually bolted down
![]() Its a nice looking piece, and a pretty easy install. I don't have the link off-hand, but there's a youtube video for the install. |

After looking further at the OEM sliding armrest, I think it looks tacky, considering the giant rails needed to be added.
I am now considering the Carsmo armrest. The video of the OEM sliding armrest is located on this thread, as well as more pictures. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1478968 Last edited by Chad86; 01-11-2015 at 04:20 PM. |

I have the OEM sliding armrest. It works fine, looks good, and allows use of one of the two cup holders, though I don't use the cup holders. Thus, I can use all of the console space for storage and for charging my phone. I stick my tall skinny insulated coffee mug in the door instead.

I'd really like to get an armrest, but in my opinion, none of them look quite right when they're installed

I got lazy and paid JPM Coachworks to wrap the OEM armrest in Italian leather with red stitching. Looks the same as the OEM but it's real leather instead of vinyl.

@serial gixxer
So I've had the sliding OEM armrest installed for a bit now. It's pretty solid and the pictures don't really convey how well it fits into the car. Looks like it came installed from the factory. Only quirky thing I've had so far; after several months driving sans center armrest, I've developed the habit of resting my forearm on the e-brake handle. When I do this, if the armrest is in its most foreward configuration, I end up pushing it back with my elbow. The sliding mechanism is very smooth though. If I'm using the armrest, I need it all the way forward. If my gf is using it, she puts it in the middle position (she sits almost low-rider style). So you can accommodate your driving position pretty well with it. Downside though is two people can't use it at once in this scenario. |

Anyone have this armrest? Looks like a cheaper version of the DAMD arm rest.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/SCION-FR-S-F...40918d&vxp=mtr Since this is an armrest compilation thread here's another one from eBay:http://www.ebay.com/itm/Subaru-Br-z-...525af3&vxp=mtr Does not attach to anything, slides back and forth, at~$80. shipped a bit pricey. And here's the cheapy one I have from eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Sports-Line-...a091f6&vxp=mtr There's a few other armrest threads here and I posted this one in of those but it's a good idea to have a compilation thread to see them all. This armrest is barely worth $20. It's only 5.9" wide so it barely covers the opening. Over time the elastic bands stretch out. I emailed pics to the vendor and he refunded my $20. I have it attached now with velcro tape and it's solid and functional. See this thread: http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=71538 Planning on getting the OEM sliding armrest, PT478-18130. Cheapest I have found it is here, $173. shipped: http://toyotaparts.bochtoyotasouth.c...ota/pt47818130 To those who have it, do you need a pop rivet gun to install it?
