Tell me where you see how air can pass through where the LED is mounted. The upper opening is for the running lights and the kit you speak of (at least the ones I've seen) use the lower portion (where the LED is) for the air duct.

lol my bad! saw the photos at the top of the thread and hit reply... from there is looked like it was just like the grill and open to air.

i wonder if some creativity with a dremel couldnt make these cross functional..

Looking at the pictures from the ebay posting it comes with quite a bit if wiring and loom to make it have a clean install. I will most likely t tap into the cigarette lighter behind the passenger side. I already have my radar detector hardwired there and can't imagine these draw much more power so it shouldn't be an issue.

Shipping is about 10 days plus give me a few days to install. And ill have all your questions answered.

Won't this blind drivers at night?

I don't think so as they are too low on the car. Whereas high beams direct light up and out. I also don't think these are as bright. Especially considering they are in the same spot as fog lights and people drive with those on all the time.

Ok so I will be the first FRS in the U.S. to have these and I am doing the DIY. I am curious as I have not received mine yet how do you switch from dull to full power? Is there something on the wiring to switch it?

If a DIY goes up for an frs I might want a set. Depends on how hard the wiring is.

Speculating here but if you tap into the high beams, the DRL will drive them at the low setting and turning on your brights would bring about the brighter setting?
I thought I saw a little module in the wiring pics that I think is what would allow this to happen.
If you have LEDs in your high beams then that may be of some benefit but if you've disabled them then you might want to find a different power source and bypass the module. I believe the module uses the two different voltages that are present with a DRL setup.

You probably correct, will have to wait and see.
I was hoping this just plugged onto the GT86 fog light without any wiring needed. Slightly different for the FRS..
The price is right at $180 shipped anywhere in the world.
