200 is fine its the 150 ft lbs of torque that isnt enough and for a sports car it shouldn't be able to be beat by a mini van off the line. The OP asked for my opinion on the downsides of the car and im entitled to my own opinion, and if me speaking my mind bothers you maybe youre in the wrong thread

I hate the seat belt warning light/beeping constantly when I dont wear my belt I have messed up priorities cuz I rather rip apart the car to delete that beeping sound than spend 2 seconds to put on my belt heh

Any decent tinter should not have to remove the brake light, mine didn't. It just slides right past it.

Wouldn't that be more of a "things I hate about all cars" rather than things you hate about the 86's?

in a sense true since most newer cars will beep when you don't put the seat belts on but at least from the cars I have driven the frs tends to beep for a minute then beep even louder and faster for another minute then stops for a few minutes and beeps even louder and faster all I do is say "stfu all the time at the beeping and people look at me with a wtf face lol

but the other cars I've driven only beep for a minute or 2 and just stop entirely unless I turn off car and start it again, then the beeping starts anew..

You're doing it wrong if you have this car for "off the line" speed. From everything out there about the design goals of this car, that was never even a consideration, and thank Zod for that.

Makes it easier for the dudes to drag your dead body out of the car if they dont have to cut your belt, too. I've been curious about ejection from this car in a serious accident when not wearing a seatbelt. Post pics, if and when. Such risk-taking from MA no less!

I wish to subscribe to your newsletter and also attend your driving skills classes. To attain such a level of skill that you are literally never going to be involved in an accident must take a lifetime of dedicated study.

I am by no means a perfect driver I have gotten into a wreck 10 years ago but the idiot hit my 350z from an angle on the highway when he moved into my lane to this day I still miss my z.

But I am a delivery driver so I've driven so much in cars and trucks and other vehicles that when driving in the FR-S it just feels easier in a sense that the car is so nimble compared to the heavy vehicles I have to use and you have to compensate for the idiot drivers (I'm sure you've had your run ins with them as well)

the only time I ever put seat belts on if I'm on a track or if its beginning or end of month for cops ticket quota

I know what this car was designed for... I don't have this car for off the line speed I don't even race it, I drive on B roads for driving enjoyment and it's awesome. It's a sideways car not a straight line car... but lack of power to any sports car is a downside...I'm not saying the cars bad I love it to death it's the most fun car I've ever driven Don't tell me what to do I'm entitled to my opinion the OP asked for our personal opinions, I think you're on the wrong thread, I think you belong back to the thread where you state how much MPG you managed to get this morning..
