concrete column 1 FRS 0, the idiot owner -1 Yep, I was stupid enough to scrape my c

Yep, I was stupid enough to scrape my car on an concrete column, how much damage is this going to cost me? (in before part out :P) The damage is on the rear fender only, no door damage. the panel is dented along with scratches.

Since this is a lease car, am I stuck with doing the repair at dealer, and do you think I can get by with an independent body shop? will they be able to paint code match?

how much do you think I'll pay comparing dealer to body shop, wanna get a rough idea before I hit the dealer for quote, thanks

Also, looking for a bodyshop recommendation in the GTA

TLDR; I've had no problems in getting 2 panels matched perfectly in Whiteout.

Good luck on getting this fixed

It's going to be expensive because they're going to have to paint most of that side of the car to blend it, probably onto the bumper and trunk too.

Damn tcoat! I just had something exactly like that fixed on my car (scraped a high curb near the length of the rocker and deep) for $200 cash. $1000 is crazy for that little dent and scuff.

Well I didn't pay insurance did. Only cost me $100 for comprehensive deductible. What you can't see in the picture is that the last 3 inches are cut right through the steel. Was opened up like cut with a scalpel.

um, unless the laws are completely different in Canada, you don't have to go to the dealer. That would be some seriously shady shit. Find a local body shop that is willing to guarantee their work for the life of the vehicle and get them to do a thorough quote. I'm guessing you are going to want to go through insurance though.

You want to feel good though? I was in florida and I sideswiped a freaking stop sign in the rain. Talk about absurd. It was $5000 dollars in damage, they had to replace the rear quarter panel completely and repaint the entire side. The shop fought tooth and nail with the insurance company, and I have 3 lifetime warranties on the work they performed.

That really sucks, but it could have been worse.

european autobody in toronto probably one of the best facilities in ontario.

paint matching is not an issue IF you choose to pay extra $$ to re-clear the door (possibility rear bumper, fender & roof) as they will need to blend for a perfect match. Your probably looking around $3k for a perfect factory finish job.

Velocity Autobody in Markham!!! They have been doing my cars for years and did my White BMW when it got hit on the side rear panel. Paint match is flawless and I go every year to redo my front lip and bumper.

Highly recommended!!!

I scraped my old maxima on concrete pillar, similar to that, but much deeper inside the fender, I had lots of bare metal visible, I'd say my situation was worse. I was getting quotes in 1.5-2k range, I found one guy in town who did it for 1100 and it came out perfect, he's an old school German fellow running a shop that looks like straight out of 70s, wouldnt imagine they do anything decent in there, but I believe he's one of the best in our area, knows his shit and is straight shooter.
/Edit just noticed you have 15, so Halo color, probably not as painful as old SWP/white to match. In no way I would want to pay more than 3k for that. Shop around locally from given recommendations here to get an idea.
