Transmission - Motul 300

Diff - 300 LS, People have run 300 without problems.

I'd suggest Redline 75W-85 for diff - https://www.redlineoil.com/75w85-gl-5-gear-oil

After talking with fellas that own brz too they said our diff is torsen lsd that doesnt require an ls oil. So the normal 300 is more recommended(some of them even said that ls oil can be even worse to our diffs)

It kind of depends on who you ask as to which is more recommended.

I have never heard that the 300 LS can be worse.
Yes, we have a torsen not clutch LSD. So technically no friction modifiers are necessary.

Motul company themselves still suggests 300 LS over 300. Ultimately the friction modifiers won't do any extra harm to our LSD. I believe some people have noted they preferred how the 300 LS locked up the LSD over the 300. I think it was CSG Mike?

300 LS - All hypoïd differentials with limited slip system, gearbox with integrated limited slip differential, mechanical transmission, synchronised or non synchronised gearbox, transfer gearbox operating under shocks, heavy loads and low revolution speed or moderate loads and high revolution speed

300 - All mechanical transmission, synchronized or not synchronized gearboxes, gearbox/differential, transfer gearboxes and hypoid differentials without limited slip system operating under shocks, heavy loads and low revolution speed or moderate loads and high revolution speed.

----

Feel free to put in what you want.

i have just changed my gb oil and the diff oil with motul300 75 90 .(no ls)
and tbh?i cant see whats all the fuss is about -it feels almost the same as the previous oil and the gears changing are still shitty (especially 2nd to 3rd so notchy like in other gearboxes i would say its fault gb that require rebuild)

Gear 300 will work in a Torsen, but not with any aftermarket LSD.

Also, while rated the same, Gear 300LS is actually more viscous than Gear 300.
