Skunk2 Pro-C Coilovers for FRS, BRZ, FT86

Skunk2’s industry-leading Pro-C Coilovers for the BRZ/FRS feature 12-way adjustable valving, adjustable ride height, and a state-of-the-art mono-tube design. Thanks to threaded shock bodies, Pro-C Coilovers offer height adjustments independent of spring preload, which results in significant ride-height changes without sacrificing shock travel or ride comfort. Quick and precise ride-height adjustments can be made for dialing in corner balancing as well as for improved handling, responsiveness, and overall balance. Skunk2’s track- and street-tested Pro-C shock valving offers the perfect balance between daily driving and track performance and its all-new, shortened shock bodies and reduced shaft strokes help maintain adequate suspension travel on lowered vehicles for improved performance without sacrificing comfort.

Pro-C Coilovers feature vehicle-specific, carefully selected springs designed to dramatically improve handling, and a race-inspired, mono-tube design for superior performance. Skunk2’s micro-polished, mono-tube design and one-piece, forged shock bodies, combined with its precision-machined, oversized shafts and stainless steel pistons, ensure that each Pro-C Coilover is both responsive and durable. Each Pro-C Coilover also features the highest quality shock oil for consistent performance and triple upper and lower seals to ensure years of leak-free operation. The results are unmatched cornering grip, reduced body roll, and a feel of vehicle control and stability like no other.

Pro-C Coilovers feature hard-anodized, CNC-machined, forged 6061-T6 aluminum spring perches and CNC-wound racing springs manufactured from high-quality, SAE9254V spring steel. Each spring is designed to optimize the balance between comfort and performance and is custom-matched to their respective shocks. Pro-C Coilovers offer ride-height adjustments as low as three inches for an aggressive and sporty appearance.

Like all Skunk2 products, Pro-C Coilovers feature a one-year warranty and are designed to provide years of enjoyment for the life of your vehicle. Never wait for a coilover rebuild again; Skunk2 stocks large quantities of replacement dampers that, in most cases, cost less than a typical coilover rebuild. Purchase your replacement dampers directly from Skunk2 to minimize downtime.

Part Number: 541-12-6500

Interesting - a coilover that finally offers a realistic 12-way adjustability and not 184 adjustments(lol). Maybe we have something here?

Spring rates?

Would you mind sharing this data? I'd imagine your testing is at local track us us, since you're located in socal, and would like to see what kind of gains you guys saw at the track.

What settings did you guys find most ideal for on-track use and street comfort?

Do you have a recommended height?

@fooddude their website shows 6k/6k

Great questions @CSG Mike! We're sure you already know this, settings for on-track and street use are very subjective and depend on many variables. This also includes the recommended height, if these were strictly for on-track only use we could have recommendations, however, the beauty of a coilover shock is that you can adjust it to your preferences - i.e. driving style, comfort, appearance etc.

Thanks for your interest!

what do you think?

another cheap coilover advertised to be "the best bro". the overlfow of bad dampeners and "coils" for this platform is mind blowing.

Frs/brz skunk2 proC coilovers

7/30/2014
I purchased my Skunk2 Pro C coilovers for the BRZ/FRS with Skunk2 directly. I opened the box and found that everything was wrapped up nice and neat. Everything was included nothing was missing. I didn’t wait a day to install them, got home from work and got to business all by myself not to say a second hand will help out a lot! The installation process went smoothly. Rating it on a scale from 1-10, 10 being the hardest I would say 2, it was very easy. I did the fronts first finished and adjusted as needed then proceeded to the rears and did the same. I also installed the supplied front sway bar links. The install took about 4-5 hours with no help, and no lift. Left the dampening on soft all the way counter clockwise and took it out for a drive: location Carmel valley road in California! Was impressed right away on my very first turn since my car had been there before I knew the limits it had with the stock suspension. I was on it for about 1hr and of course adjusting the dampening which you can notice right away. Well so far I have had these for 2weeks of daily driving it and taking it to the curvy country roads I have no cons for this product love the way it drives. I highly recommend it for all FRS/BRZ owners I'm very happy with this product!

We don't necessarily claim to have the best product out there, however, these are a quality system for the price you're paying in comparison to the competition out there for the same application.

What suspension do you have on your FRS/BRZ?
