Top Speed Short Throw Shifter and Pulley Kit

I just finished installing the Top Speed Short Throw Shifter and I love it!
I didn't know the shifts could get much shorter, but damn!
It took me a while. It was my first shifter install. It took 2-3 hours.
I drove it about a mile and damn its amazing. I think it gives 20hp. Now I need those stickers that give HP! Jk it is amazing though.

I used to have 2007 STi with a short throw...this is like 75% shorter than that.

It was $74 on Top Speeds eBay page. I'd say well worth it but I only drove a mile.

I also have the pulley kit and will be installing that tomorrow. I weighed them. Crank came out at 13oz. The total kit is supposed to be 1.4 lbs and I think that was about right. Also $74 on eBay page. Can't wait to install it!

I am actually lifting the console again. I need to adjust the reverse plate because going into second crushes my finger, lol, and there is a rattle (I assume second pinging the reverse plate. Other than that its awesome

Installed shifter is the Top Speed. Notice the hook for Reverse on the stick vs Top Speed. It works just fine though.

So the fitment is a bit off with the reverse clip allll the way over to the left. Second gear still drags along the reverse clip. I don't mind but thought people may like to know. I just attempted to adjust it and it seems the same. Going driving now so will see if I notice a change at all

So I still like it, but shifting in to 2nd is a tiny bit difficult because the reversing hook drags on the reverse plate when shifting to second. Not a big deal though.
It also lifts the reversing clip/handle when going into second which can smash your finger if its in the wrong spot.

It rattles in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gear at high RPMs.

And when going into 1st or 2nd you can hear the reverse hook hit the reverse plate.

You should be more open minded. It was actually my fault it was crushing my finger. I used the original hardware like a dummy. I replaced it with the provided hardware and it shifts like a champ now.

Still working on the rattle. I am hoping installing the rear bushing will fix this.

I installed the bushing that came with it tonight. It helped with the rattle. It still rattles a little bit but that may also be user error. Its definitely not a piece of shit if you install it correctly lol.
The bushing looks exactly like the Perrin bushing

Hey it's your money, if you want to put cheap knockoff/copycat parts in it that's your business. Personally I'll stick with Kartboy for my shifter needs over the 100 some eBay imitations.

Cool story bro. I suppose you talk the same shit about the SBD turbo cause its cheaper than the greddy. Go watch Bambi bro. Learn something.
I said it was my mistake that caused the issues, otherwise it works fine. Feel free not to comment unless you have something that useful to say it ask. Thanks for understanding.

I wouldn't touch a pully made by Top Speed with a 10 foot pole...

Fwiw, if I'm not mistaken, there hasn't been a shirt shift kit invented for this car that doesn't rattle (except the TRD quickshifter)
