Unfortunate First Post
Hello everyone,
this is my first post here as I was waiting to get some mods done. However after having my FRS for 4 months and putting on 15000km I have bad news to share. I feel that I should share this to speak to a quality of the 86 family that many people may not consider when purchasing any of the 86 models. Heres my FRS in december, few mods made, just cosmetic And sadly, heres my FRS shortly after the accident I was travelling at 90km/h when a careless driver attempted a U turn on a corner, right in front of me resulting in a collision with the rear of their vehicle, and then going head on with a third party. I am pleased to report that despite the damage, and both airbags being deployed, both my sister and I walked away completely unharmed other then whiplash. I really do feel that if we had been driving another vehicle that might not have been the case. On the plus side, A cop witnessed the accident and I'm completely clear of any legal charges, just working with the insurance companies to get back in an FRS as soon as possible |

Thanks for posting. Good to know we drive a car that can provide excellent protection in a collision. Another gold star to go along with the handling and braking. Glad no one was hurt.

I don't want to say curse, but these cars definitely have a low profile (literally). After two different cars this morning didn't see me in their blindspot and nearly swerved into me, I looked over at my wife and told her I needed an even louder exhaust. She just rolled her eyes. When driving my GTI (which is a good 7" higher) on the same commute, I'd say I get about half the amount of near collisions.

Buy Lava! Everybody seems to stay well away from me (so far)!
Mind you it won't help if they are in front of me!!! Once again impressed with the fact that everybody walked away relatively unscathed from what looks like a nasty crash.
