Removing sound tube

Is there any possible long term harm caused by removing the "sound enhancer" tube? I have removed mine (I don't like the sound of intake coming into the passenger compartment). I just want the car to last a long time as close to perfect as possible. Thanks

nope. just plug up the hole to keep debris from entering your airbox behind the filter.

you can also plug up the hole into the cabin for a quieter ride

Thanks BRZerk. I have plugged the big hole and the lower holes as you said. Just wanted to be sure.
