dealer says dead engine harness

Okay so here is the deal. I recently put on the torque solutions throttle body spacer ( easy, harmless mod) and also the crawford powerblocks. I drove around for 2 days with them installed and not a single issue. No strange sounds or behavior etc. Then all of a sudden on Wednesday, I was driving around 30mph, and all of a sudden all the cluster lights turn on and the engine dies while driving. So i press the gas, and nothing. So i coast in neutral to the side. Well I put in a new battery. That did not fix it. Jump start or push start didn't work. So the dealer has had it fro 2 days now (thursday and friday) and today they finally came to the conclusion that it is a bad engine harness. They first said that it was a EGR error and that every time they put in a new fuse it would start up fine, but then pop and wont start again. They said they have never heard or seen anything like this before. Everything in the car tested just fine. So they tried to order a new one and it got red flagged immediately. They said there is only 3 in the country, and subaru finds it very hard to believe that it went faulty because they have never heard of this happening before. So they responded with they need a field engineer to be sent out to be the final judge and inspect the car to see if warranty will cover or not. So the service guy asked and noted that I took out the air intake before. I said yes, because I have the TRD intake. That wont cause it. He then says you have a aftermarket throttle body. So I say no, it is oem it just has that red spacer and once again that wont cause it. He asked if I ever re flashed or reprogrammed the computer before, and I am assuming he means like a tune or something. So I said no. Then asked if I ever removed the fuel injectors. That I also have never done. So I guess what I am asking is how could the engine harness die out? I was driving around fine with the crawford powerblocks for a couple of days with no issues. And even those were a pretty easy install. Just take some bolts out and move around some clips etc. So what could cause this to happen? Any help or advise would be awesome!

The wire harness it's self can only either become open circuit or closed circuit (short).
In either case the dealer should be able to pin point this and repair.

If they are referring to the integration relay modules which are part of the engine harness, that is a different case.

yeah I don't really know. Neither do they. Last I heard was on Thursday and they said they ordered a new harness and that the engineer tech was going to inspect it on Monday. And I still haven't heard anything as of end of Tuesday..

Its possible you may have damaged pinched some wiring during bpb install or spacer install.

heard of guy with shorted ignition coil causing similar issue and another with pinched wiring in engine bay that was factory issue, cannot remember exact details though
