40% OFF TRD Parts 4/4 ONLY
Didn't see this posted on this forum yet. Toyota is celebrating the 40th Anniversary of TRD so most of their parts are 40% off.
For example a new TRD Exhaust is only $635 at Tustin Toyota. TRD Springs are $147. I know some people don't use social media so they probably don't know about this so here ya go! |

Thanks for posting this. I hadn't seen it.
Side note: anyone know if TRD wheel center caps are the same size as stock wheel center caps?

Found out about this 2 days ago and was waiting. Finally ordered me some springs for around $173 shipped.
Now I'm worried about pairing old shocks with new springs.

You'll be fine the drop is about 1inch which is fine for stock shocks and also depending on how miles you have on the car. If they end up blowing pick up some MY2017+ shocks and you'll be good to go.

I used to have a Corolla XRS, dropped it on Tien S tech springs (the drop was quite big, something like 2 inches due to the car's insanely high stock ride height, resulting in a fist sized wheel gap) and kept the OEM shocks (never changed them) I never had shock issues with the car over the course of around 8-9 years. |

Yeah I chose TRD over RCE Yellows since it has a 1'' drop. I have about 45k miles. Looked up the "average" mileage for shock replacement and it's around 50k to 100k mark. Quote:
I'm not overly concerned about compatibility, mostly wondering if my "old shock" might die sooner than expected so I'd had to get new shocks after getting new springs.

Personally, even 50K seems too less to me. Maybe i just havent seen any shocks go bad at 50K but that all depends on a person driving habits, roads, tracking/autoX etc. I would say after 100K is a reasonable time to change, but if theres no issues i wouldnt worry about replacing them.

Nice. If I was in the market for wheels right now, those 17" forged TRD wheels would be calling my name.

How are you getting that much of a drop on RSR Superdowns? Approximate lowering I see is 25-30mm front and 30-35mm rear on product descriptions.

Never really figured that out. The 1.4 on paper is not accurate when the actual height is measured against a stock car on the same surface. The front is close to 1.4" and the rear 1.7". Now of course when talking fractions of inches the measuring could be off a hair but no matter how we looked at it we came up with larger numbers than the spec sheet says.
