for the pros, Ecutek and AIM MXL

ok guys, went to my local ecutek dealer which isn't all that great.

I have a race car, first problem is he is unable to communicate with the ecutek when my AIM MXL data logger dash is functionnal and communicating via CAN with the ECU. Is that a problem anyone ever came across?

second thing, we disconnected the MXL so it started working but the logging function of the ecutek stops working around 4k rpm under load. He sais the only time it happened on an other car is was an other race car where like me, a clean up had been made in the wiring.

What can make the logging function stops working after a while? It works, it just stops working after a certain point.

thanks for any help you can provide, i don't know anything about the ecutek yet.

Im not sure how your MXL connects to ecu assume its via OBD/CAN buss so it might be assigned the same can buss id as ecutec uses hence you cannot use both on the same buss same time.

Not sure what your setup is do you have any other logging devices or pigyback ecu arangements on your car thet may be loading ECU.

The ECU prime function is to run engine I believe it can limit or halt logging requests when it gets too busy.

The Ecutek guy may need to reduce the number of parameters logged or reduce the number of requests per second ie cycle time and see what happens.

hmm well i tried it today and it really doesn't work with the AIM plugged in so i have to disconnect it to connect the laptop to the ecutek, that is for sure.

As far as the number of parameters logged, that is a good idea, i will try when the car gets back on wheels so see if it makes a difference with everything he was logging and i will try to log just one thing for comparaison
