clutch won't fully engage/8000 miles small dent

First off my scion has less than 8000 miles manuel transmission. I have babied it for the last year.I recently had a small accident to the rear left bumper. The car was hit in the rear leaving scratches on the rear tail light and the bumper had a 6 inch long crack. (will get pictures)I drove my fr-s home immediately following the small fender bender accident. While pulling in front of my house (about a 8 miles drive from scene of accident) I was then unable to put the car in gear. The car drove home fine but as soon as I parked the clutch pedal would not fully depress. The engine was running with the transmission in neutural. I was unable to put the car in gear after parking. The clutch pedal would not fully engage .I pushed the clutch pedal down but it only went about half way. I then powered off the car. I waited about 2 minutes and Started it back up and it would still not go into gear. The following day the car would not start at all. I am waiting on the tow truck now to take to the dealership for service. I was hoping someone could tell me if they have heard of a similar situation or what may have happened to the clutch and if it has anything to do with rear left damage to bumper. Also why the car will not start.

I am by no means an expert but it seems like that fender bender was much more severe than you previously thought.

Hopefully you have the information of the person who hit you, and contact your insurance company right away.
