TRD Sway Bar Kit... comfort?
I'm curious if the TRD Sway Bar Kit would be better or worse for ride comfort? Ultimately I understand this a performance type upgrade, but I'm wondering how it would change the ride characteristics, specifically in conjunction with the TRD Lowering Springs.
This would mostly be a daily driven car so if it's going to adversely affect the comfort it's probably not something I would consider. How about maintenance down the road, are there parts associated with the kit that would need to be replaced, like bushings? Expected life? Thanks! |

I daily drove mine and my girlfriend never knew I installed them. That said, great upgrade. You'll only notice a little discomfort over heavily uneven road / taking speed bumps at an angle.
Maintenance wise? Lube the bushings every now and then. Might need to replace bushings waaaay down the road. *i was on stock springs* |

I have a new 2015 with the dealer installed TRD sway bars. I know they lubricated the bushings when they installed the bars but there is an annoying squeak when the car comes to a stop ... as in that last 10th of a second when the suspension unloads after the car has stopped. I'd like to re-lubricate them but have no idea what to use. Thanks, Arvid

You can use something like this: http://www.summitracing.com/search/p...d-individually
The bars sold by Hotchkis have Zerk fittings, and they sell this to put in a grease gun: http://www.hotchkis.net/14_oz_super_grease.html Prothane Super Grease is popular with some off-road guys due to the mud, water, etc. they have to go through, and they also make a 14 oz. tube to go in a grease gun: http://www.amazon.com/Prothane-19-1751-Super-Grease-Tube Given the same name, I wonder if Hotchkis' Super Grease is sourced from Prothane. |
