Hello Everyone,
Well the highly anticipated Cat Back version of the infamous SRT exhaust system is now released and available for Pre-ordering. We will have dyno figures available soon as well as sound and video clips. The rear section is identical to our Header Back system and the resonators/mufflers are the exact same units as well so you know that you will get a very similar exotic sound and the exact same exotic looks as our Header back version. Well enjoy these pics and we will be posting more pics and videos as they become available. Thanks. For emissions, I would think that's no problem. It's the db level that would likely be a technicality. It becomes a "modified exhaust" at that point and would be subject to db level testing.
Cliff's notes is the exhaust cannot exceed 95db. More on the technicalities can be found here; http://www.bobsmuffler.com/noise.htm You should google "modified exhaust in california" you'll find all you need to know. I don't know what the DB levels are on this system but I'd bet it's close... SRT: The link I posted cites the criteria for the testing. If you had a tester and the proper environment, that data might be an asset. Chances are, you'd likely encounter one of these scenarios. 1. Officer hears you accelerating beyond normal means in which to bring the vehicle to the posted speed limit. The officer can then pull you over if they are so inclined. It really depends on the officer and how well they know the code. TRD for instance provides a certificate of compliance that you can show to the officer. This doesn't mean it's a free pass. I've seen several instances where they wrote the ticket anyway. Fun... 2. You get pulled over for some other violation. An officer could write you a ticket for the exhaust. |

That exhaust looks dangerously close to the driveshaft. Is the stock exhaust that close? It looks like it needs some heat shields stat.

Are you going to make a mid-pipe and up-pipe for your cat-back system so people have the option of turning it into a full exhaust (header back) when/if they want?

The catback includes the mid-pipe. Mid-pipe + axle-back = catback. Are you talking about the catalyzed over/downpipe behind the ahead, in front of the catback? The system advertised on this page does not remove any emissions equipment.
