I'll be going. I have never been but it should be a good time, looks like they have had a pretty large turnout in the past.
I'm trying to get my brother to register, (Civic Si), and a buddy of mine who has a WRX.

This will be my 3rd time going but 1st time in the BRZ.
The turnout is never disappointing. Everything from Stock DD's to exotics.

Make sure you bring a 2-way radio to keep up with all the shenanigans.

Had a really good time, some fun roads and met some good people. I was the only FR-S, but a saw quite a few WRB BRZs. Someone there had the ESC, it was pretty cool to check that out and see it in action, definitely hauled ads!

Did you end up driving Hurricane mtn. rd? Nice meeting you BTW.

I lost everyone on the way there so i was all by myself when i drove it. Honestly wouldn't have it any other way, topped out at 75mph at one point but those turns and elevation changes are killer!

No I missed it. :-p I took the wrong turn to go around because I was not sure where I was going abd just followed people, bad idea haha, they took the bypass. I will probably go up again at some point this summer and hit it though. I got to the parking lot and was there for a few minutes but had to head out to get home for a family thing, so I rode back alone.

I ended up grouping up with some bikes and driving with them through the Kanc, really good time, hauled some serious ads.

That was me! I think i was riding your ass a bit (not as much as the 335i) during the cruise, apologies for that.

Haha that is alright. I slowed down at a few points because I was a bit confused on the directions. I was just following people and did not realize I took the bypass, so was out of sync with the steps :-P

I was very impressed with the speed, even if I was getting into it you could close the gap pretty much instantly.

And that 335i was riding uncomfortably close on the Kanc, I was limited by the 535 in front of me, you just have to respect that and leave a little bit of space in the twisties (more than 5 feet would be nice). Made me a little paranoid but it turned out fine and was an awesome ride

I love it, gives me 180+WTQ to play with between 2.5-5.5K. Makes it quite the handful on stock tires though

He was driving a bit like an ass the whole time, almost lost the rear end when he hit gravel/dirt on a tight corner.

I thought the ESC setup got pretty unhappy if you go WOT below 3k? I have not been up on its development for a while though. From what I understand it is activated by a mechanical switch pushing the pedal all the way down, and full boost that down low can be upsetting to the cars computer. Maybe I just need to better educate myself.

After seeing yours I may have to give it a second look, I think that would be the sweet spot of power I am looking for, not really interested in a full out turbo build, but would love the extra torque.

It turned out fine, so I am happy, but he was definitely being a stereotypical BMW driver ha.

Untuned i think you're correct, but with the OFT ESC tune from Shiv you're good to go WOT whatever rpm you want (within reason).

You should, for the price ($1,600) its a no brainer. My goal is 200WTQ (without E85) which i think is entirely possible with the ESC + supporting mods.
