Keep air recycle off

What determines if the air recycle button is off or on?

Sometimes when I turn it off and start my car, the button will be on. Other times it will be off.

I want it to be always off to get fresh air inside.

Seeing as you have the Monogram series, I take it you have the auto climate control. I believe the recycle air will automatically kick on if it is hot inside the vehicle and you have the temperature set to relatively cool/cold. So, for the first few minutes, it will use 'MAX A/C', which means fresh air + recycled air, until the inside of the car has come closer to the temperature you have set.

I know my father's car, that has auto climate control, kicks into full gear during the summer when he has the temperature set to 70 F. But after a few minutes, the AC system quiets down and I believe it will continue to recycle air unless he changes the setting after the interior has cooled down.

In Germany wehre Auto climate control comes standart the dealer can reprogramm it so it never turns into recycle mode automatically.

It s what I let them change on my gt86 because I really disliked that .

There are several different other settings the dealer can reprogramm/set to different stuff

I know it's programmable on the Bimmers I used to have. I don't know about the GT86.
