Good News for Second-Hand Vortech kit Owners

So yesterday I bought a used Vortech kit with low miles at a pretty dam good price. The catch was the majority of the nuts, bolts, and washers were missing (no biggie all the major brackets and parts werent missing). I checked the Vortech website and noticed that they sell Hardware kits for the mustang guys. Its basically all the nuts, bolts and washers for their supercharger kits.

Problem was that they didnt have a hardware kit for the FRS/BRZ. My guess is that since the kit is still relatively new there aren't enough second hand owners to drive up a demand for a hardware kit. Thats probably why most of the hardware kits they have are for the mustang guys.

After pm'ing Brian and talking with Ernie its looks like sometime next week there will be a new part number from Vortech for a hardware kit for the 86 as well.

I think between this and all the revisions they have made to the kit it shows that if there is one thing vortech does right it is that they listen to their customers

That's great news. I'm in the process of obtaining a second hand vortech kit myself so I'll be sure to check the page for when the mounting hardware kit gets released incase I need it.

Another option would be to get a detailed inventory sheet with the specs on every bolt and then you could go to my favorite website www.mcmastercarr.com and get all new hardware.

A. That site just blew my mind
B. I actually have excel spreadsheet with all the bolt sizes/qtys because that was going to be my first solution. But I wanted to see what would come out cheaper lol

I had a similar reaction the first time I used it, haha. The only weird part is they don't tell you how much shipping is till it ships, but it is always cheap as long as you are doing smaller hardware type items. Great site for hoses, hose clamps, T bolt clamps, fittings, and tons of other great items for forced induction cars.

Good News for Second-Hand Vortech kit Owners

I have it bookmarked now. But I just don't want to have to buy a box of 200 when I only need 1 bolt lol
