removal of rear seat airbags / seatbelts
Hi guys. After some forum searching I haven't been able to find the answer to the following questions:
For those completely wanting to get rid of the rear seats, where are the rear airbags located? How does one safely remove them without activation? If there already is a post or DIY on such please advise because I haven't been able to find such. Thanks! |

There are side curtain air bags front and rear. The rear ones are located behind the c pillar plastic.

Why remove them at all? If doing a rear seat delete they won't hurt anything by being there. If leaving the seat and you ever give into temptation and put passengers there or get pull over and inspected you run a risk of a ticket for removing a required safety device (the belts).

thanks for your input alex and roddy. @Tcoat -- if you're doing a rear seat delete, chances are good you're doing it to lose weight. if no one's going to sit back there, then whats the purpose of having safety equipment -- the bags / belts? why not remove them also, however small the weight reduction might be. i like the idea of having all the creature comforts for the two front seats and just getting rid of all the weight / stuff you'd see if you looked behind you lol
