CP Rail on strike. Where is my BRZ/FRS?

CP Rail on strike again, now for those of us who live inland. When will we get our vehicle delivery?
It happen to me twice for my vehicles, I remember it happened in 2007 for my BMW and it has been delayed for couple months before I can get my hand on the car.

Does Subaru ship with CP Rail or CN Rail? If it's CN Rail it should be ok. If it's CP Rail, the feds sound like they will legislate them back to work if they can't reach an agreement, but there might still be some delay even if that happens.

According to this article on CN Rail's site http://www.cn.ca/en/media-news-impro...n-20101108.htm it seems they do Subaru's shipping, so no worries.

Ouch, maybe they are using CP Rail (that article is from 2010)

CP Rail also controls portions of the track CN Rail uses, but CN Rail said [for the most part] they would be able to shuffle stuff around to make sure shipments still get where they're going.

Just talked to my dealer (Red Deer) and they said they truck their cars from Vancouver, so it's a non-issue.

I'm not sure if Toyota does the same, but it would seem to make economical sense to truck it direct instead of sending it by train to Edmonton/Calgary and then truck to Red Deer.

Agreed. Kind of funny how impatient I am in all of this.. I guess anticipation is half the fun haha

I feel the same way! Finally got my VIN a few hours ago so I'm slightly less anxious but even more excited.

Delayed for me. Emailed my salesmen and was told all cars headed to Toronto are on halt due to the strike.

Feds table back-to-work bill in CP rail strike

Looks like the cars might be moving soon! Although if the teachers strike is anything like this strike, this is not going to end soon.
