VacantSky's firestorm
Still fairly new to the forum, and to the car. Just keeping this section open for upgrades and ideas I have for it.
edited: Mods are as follows: 17x9 RPF1 +45 with diy centercaps ISC Coilovers Home built intake Open Flash Tablet - stage 2 UEL Open Flash Headers Perrin 2.5 overpipe Tanabe catless 2.5 front pipe Perrin 2.5 catback Resonated Perrin crank pulley Driveshaft Shop aluminum driveshaft And I'm not sure if this has been covered but for those worried about the 17x9 +45 on stock suspension. Don't. There is plenty of room! I have coilovers now, but I ran these on stock struts. There is even big brake clearance, to an extent. I had these on my sabaru prior, which had a wilwood 4 pot kit up front. Current exterior pictures: ![]() ![]() And the brake clearance on the +45 9 inch RPF1's over wilwood 4 pots: ![]() ![]() Can't help but think this little go kart is going to be around for a long time Last edited by VacantSky; 06-26-2014 at 12:40 AM. |

Car looks good! Thanks for clarifying that 17x9 will fit on stock suspension. I like the stock suspension a lot since I drive on some choppy roads. Also, my driveway is crazy steep so I can't drop the car too much.

little update
guess it's time for an update!
The sportlines blew out my rear shocks, so now I have ISC coil overs in the corners, also have oem fogs installed, using the stalk and stock wiring: ![]() the greddy axle back has been removed, and a full 2.5 header back has been installed: perrin overpipe, tanabe catless front pipe, and perrin catback. Also installed is a driveshaft shop aluminum shaft: ![]() Open Flash Tablet, and header are now on the car. Stage 2. ![]() ![]() Under the hood I pieced together my own 2.75" intake. I didnt feel like spending $300 on an intake, so I made my own for under $150 (yes the paint has flaked, I'll be powder coating soon). Also have a perrin crank pulley: ![]() Made my own center caps for the RPF1's because the enkei ones are fugly and way over priced: ![]() I have a lightweight flywheel waiting to be installed.. just need a reason to buy a clutch to fit it Hopefully should be hitting the dyno here soon, it will be at almost 5000 ft elevation so I'm not expecting high numbers, but the car feels like it should have been this way from factory. I love it... for now...! I'd like to get the jackson supercharger down the line... if I deploy again within the next year it might happen. But for now I'm happy with the car!
