Mid-Ohio Rental?

Anyone interested in getting a group together to rent Mid Ohio Sports Car Course for a day? If the price is comparable to most other tracks, 10-20 people could probably pay $100-200 each and have it for a day.

If there's no interest, I'm probably going to sign up for a few trackdays for the BRZ and my bikes.

I've run events at Mid Ohio. The price isn't bad.. but... IIRC without looking back on details to confirm my memory says it was about 12.5k per day, plus insurance, plus misc expenses.

So if you figured 20 people and approx 14k total (insurance is 1,500 easily) you are looking at $700 per person.

Absolutely fantastic track, but it will bite you in the ass if you are careless. My avatar pic is actually from when I was at Mid-O in 2012 with the car

The SCCA does a couple PDX's up there every year. I went to one last year and it was about $220 each and we had 42 drivers. Pretty sure we actually lost money on that one as well as they were expecting closer to 60 people to be running.

With cost of safety vehicles and corner workers and such, you would definitely be looking at closer to $12000 than $2000

Your best bet would be to get together with some other local car clubs and arrange a dual event. At Mid-Ohio $200 for an hour of track time is a pretty good deal.

I'll be running in a 2 day event with the ohio Porsche club in my e36 m3 this year. Cost is $300. Not bad for 2 days.

Cheap. I haven't run at MO with PCA but here PCA can have 200+ cars.. train city even in higher groups. Hopefully they don't do that there lol

$200/hr is garbage if you consider their motorcycle school is around $200 for the day. Might be better off getting a bunch of people to sign up for one of the open trackdays. I don't have 12k to front to get things rolling.
