Stock fog light operation?

Hi guys,

I bought a Monogram and had the dealership install the fog lights (among other things). I was curious as to how the fog lights are supposed to operate.

I thought they would have been something you could turn on and off with the push of a button. But from testing things, it looks like it will only turn on or off when the main headlights are turned on. That seems counter intuitive to me.... then again the last vehicle I drove with fog lights was a 72 chevy.

Also is there supposed to be anything in the dash that is supposed to indicate the fog lights are on?

Much thanks!

I have the factory fog lights, and they don't turn on unless you turn the headlights on (maybe just dash lights) and they turn off when you turn on high beams. there should be light on the dash somewhere, I know my turns on

I think this is how it should be on your car. I know our shop BRZ is the same way, they are just turned on with the switch on the stock of the steering wheel. There is no light that I know of on the dash.

i think there should be a fog light on/off switch on the left side of the steering wheel. but the on switch would only turn them on when the headlights are on, and the off switch would switch them off when the headlights are on.
