kind of a dumb question, STI front grill badge

I'm planning on adding a little STI flare to my boosted BRZ (push start, steering wheel etc) and was wondering how you would put an STI badge in the lower front grill portion like the JDM Ts BRZ's do?

It really isn't a "grill" like the impreza's, but rather just a few plastic slats with wide gaps in between them. I see some STI emblems on Ebay for the front grill, for Legacy's/Impreza's etc with the rear bracket, but just seem too small to fit in front of the BRZ's grill. Should I order the genuine OEM piece of plastic for $40 or will the Ebay grill ones fit?

I'm not sure if the eBay ones will fit, but the OEM tS STI badge is installed with a bracket that is attached to the front bottom grill by two screws. The STI emblem clips right into the bracket with an additional two screws to secure it.

Ideally bumper has to come off for installation. I did mine without taking it off but it was a PITA.

You can do one like mine, I'm switching over to the actual mounted one. It looks a lot better in person. Not a great camera angle and it was taken with a potato..

Does the badge come separate from the bracket?
Anyone knows the part number for both?
Thanks!

It does but it's like $50-60, if you just need the badge and no bracket do some searching on eBay and it's like $10. Here's pictures of both location. Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1419792783.593860.jpg

I just did this to my BRZ last weekend. The grille is wide so I secured mine with the bracket, lock washer that came with it and also put another rubber washer behind that. Go to aliexpress.com. I ordered mine for 8.00 and I will tell you, it looks factory. I got the redish Pink and it looks sharp. aliexpress.com has the best prices. I get a lot off accessories, parts, etc from there and they are great. Shipping may take a little longer but worth it and a lot of free shipping too. I bought JDM LUG NUTS. Anodized red. 20 pieces for 18.00...same exact ones you get here for 79.00
