PSA I'm a dumb ass

Geez, if i could sue myself I would...Please do not make this mistake. I came across the FiveAD 5 pc body kit while looking at images on google... I liked the way it looked, and came across the Five:AD site

The website says " Are you in the US? The Five:AD 2013-14 Scion FR-S aero kit is available exclusively (italics mine) at Scion Dealerships through Optimize"

Liar Liar pants on fire.

Webster's dictionary defines exclusively as: - without any others being included or involved;

So, dumb ass that i am, I believed that this product was available only through Scion Dealerships, and purchased it through a local dealer. Turns out
www.phasteksport.com sells the exact same kit, for $200 less, plus free shipping and no sales tax. Since I bought the body kit in my own state, I got hosed for $137 tax and $178 shipping and I paid $2250 for the kit. Net real loss of $512. I don't mind spending money, I just hate wasting it. I called Five :AD and got a non response when I talked to the rep. He kept talking about MSRP. I kept saying this has nothing to to with MSRP or MAP, it has to do with the word exclusively.

BTW lawsuits have been won or lost due to the placement of a comma in a sentence. If I can spare someone else making this mistake, that would be a good thing.

Good thing you posted this, alot of people would have gone for it too. Negative experience from dealers is much more appreciated than positive experience cause people rarely wanna go through the same problems with new suppliers.

Personally I ordered a set of H&R set of 1" lowering springs from a Norwegian company for my Audi A3 Sportback S-Line, and was promised a drop of 1", but turns out I got the springs for the non "S-line" and they refused to replace them, and came with all kinds of useless excuses in their defence. Even though I contacted the police but they wouldn't do shit!

Research research research...not just the product, but the seller. Amazing how much real stuff is on eBay, yet so many knock it. Most dealerships/vendors actually have eBay accounts, which have very strict policies along with the added protection of paypal, protecting buyers.

I've made many mistakes buying on impulse...never again.

Yeah duh. Worst part is, I'm usually pretty good about that. I'd bet the ranch Scion has no idea Five:AD used the word exclusively on their website. Their attorneys would shit a brick.
