Having fun turned into an issue
So I was just out having fun in an open lot and spun out. I spun the car about 3/4 around and stopped. I'm not sure if it was me or the car that caused it to stall. After that I was trying it start it up again. It wouldn't start us. The motor would just turn over and over but not start. I turned the key all the way on an off again a few times. About 20 seconds later was able to start it again. Is there some kind if safety computer that makes this happen? I'm just wondering why it didn't start right up? Thanks for you help ahead of time.

But it started after a minute or two right? You didn't need to be towed.
You were goofing around so I assume the engine is warmed up eliminating the cold start possibility. I'd guess you either flooded it or upset the ECU somehow, give it a minute to rest and it should be good to go, cars do weird things when put in abnormal situations, as long as you didn't hear parts breaking I wouldn't worry. |

Thanks guys. Nothing really weird. Back end slid around and then just stopped quickly. Didn't hit anything. Warmed up yes. Been driving 5 mins already. Im thinking you might be right about flooded. I'm sure this happens at auto crossing and drifting events occasionally. Right it did start up fine eventually.

Mine has done the same thing. It will even turn the CEL light on, but when I run the code scanner in my Torque app nothing comes up. If I turn the car off and start it back up the CEL is off.

I love this forum. Even though sometimes it seems to get out of hand, it is always so helpful when it comes to solving issues or pushing the envelope! Thanks

It's not flooding, it's a fail safe to cut the fuel system. Happened many times on track. Just turn it all the way off and restart, it'll fire right up.
