Will TRD options be offered for the FR-S?

Im going to be buying brand new. I know I could order my TRD parts separate but it would be easier to just add it to the financing
Thanks

Some will, some won't. An official Toyota USA accessory list showing TRD options available at the beginning hasn't been released yet.

Financing anything into the cost of the car is generally a very bad idea, unless you are getting 0%. This includes taxes (very very bad), licensing, etc.

Better to save for the accessories before getting the car, or waiting till you can afford them.

Yes you will be able to buy TRD access. both from factory and after the fact. Get them from the factory when you order your car. But pay cash for them when you put the deal together. Labor on these after the fact will hurt the pocket book. If you haven't order one hit me up and we can start the process!

My regional rep says that the TRD options won't be available until around JANUARY. WTF. I guess I'll be going aftermarket. It's pretty ridiculous, imo.

TRD parts are not installed at the factory, maybe you mean port installed options?

Don't believe them, they're lying! Some of the TRD parts are already out. I drove two yesterday that had TRD exhausts and suspensions on them. There was no intake on the cars and the aftermarket wheels were Enkei, so maybe these TRD options will be slower to arrive than some other parts.

That does not necessarily mean they'll be for sale at launch. I know they have the parts out there. IDK why it would take so long to launch them though.

Word on the street is that the major TRD ones like exhaust sway bars etc. will not be available for a few months.

There are factory options like exhaust , intake, sway bars lowering springs.

As well as port installed options. Body side moldings, floor mats. decal etcs. those we should not have a problem getting.

I will let everyone no that with our last pre order car Prius Plug in we are still having trouble getting simple things like carpet floor mats from the factory. Some people didnt order them with their car and now they are on waiting list in parts for something simple like floor mats.

All I can say is order order order. Everything you want up front so there is no problems!

TRD Parts are not factory options. Port or dealer installed only.

Expect ALL TRD parts to be delayed from the launch of the car. For final testing and regulatory and quality approval, full production cars (not prototypes or early build units) are required.

I don't see why not. After all, most Toyota dealers will work on Lexus models too, and a BRZ is closer to an FR-S than any Lexus is to a Toyota.

My rep at TRD has confirmed Jan/Feb for the release of TRD parts. They will not be importing TRD Japan parts due to the exchange rate and sheer expense of those parts. The exchange rate will make the already higher price of JDM sourced parts hilarious as it'll feel like a 30% mark up right off the bat.

GReddy will have parts available late June/early July (they just received their first exhaust prototype and will have it at our First 86 function this week). Pricing has not been finalized yet on their product.

Mackin Industries (Rays Engineer/Volk Racing/etc) has ordered tons of FR-S fitment Gram Lights (17 and 18 inch) so they are also ready to push product.

Whiteline USA has ordered the OEM sway bars and are working on a prototype. They have also ordered an FR-S, so expect to see a Whiteline car out there in the competition

Tein USA has also finish their prototypes (no exact ETA as I don't keep in direct contact with anyone there), but I heard there will be the usual H and S Tech and some coilovers (not sure which ones they made, likely SS).

AEM will be working on an intake/exhaust system. No ETA as they are waiting for the test fitment car.

Megan Racing ordered 2 FR-S and will have product out... personally not a fan, but they will have product soon.

We should probably start an official registry for all the A/M products.
