2014 BRZ Nav radio MP3 questions - Toyota GR86, 86, FR-S and Subaru BRZ Forum & Owners Community

I picked up a '14 BRZ, they all come with the Nav radio. I stuck a MP3 CD in there from my previous car, but the cover art for the albums did not show. I made the MP3 cd a while back with iTunes. All the song info (song name, album, artist) works fine. But, the CD cover does not show up.

I figured it would show the CD cover, it has spot on the screen to do so. It shows the covers when I listen with the AHA app (love it when it works, only about 50% of the time). I also noticed it does not show when I stream via bluetooth.

Guess my question is: Is this headunit suppose to show the cover art? If so, what are the requirements (bluetooth, usb, cd, certain id3 versions, ect?)

2013 unit shows the covers, if they are embedded in the mp3. I had a lot of songs that I had to update the tags on, to get the covers to show up.
