Lost a screw...

I recently purchased/installed the Raceseng Cam Plate to replace the leaky one on my BRZ. During the installation I dropped one of the screws and cannot for the life of me find where it went.

I've resigned to the fact that I won't be able to find it and am wondering the best way to go about replacing it. Is it as simple as taking it into an Ace Hardware and finding a replacement or should I go ahead and talk to my Subaru dealership to get a replacement screw?

If it seems like a common screw size, try ace first, as its probably cheaper than the dealer.

Also, when you dropped the screw, did you look 20 feet away in the most unlikely spot? Somehow things I drop always end up in the weirdest locations haha

Id say go to your dealers parts department bro. If you go to ace, you can get a bolt that might not be of the same grade as the oem. Might as well spend 20 bucks and live care-free.

Went to the dealer on Wednesday so they could order, picked it up today. It cost $1.65.

I thought it was gonna be way more than that....

^this. It will be as far away from the car as possible and hidden in plain view.

Have no fear though, now that you bought a replacement, the original will show up in a week.
