Wheel Directory: Yoshihara Design Champion 18x8.0 +30/18x9.0 +35

Yoshihara Champion
18x8 +30
18x9 +35
225, 235/40R18 Continental DW's

More photos coming soon, still got to finish cleaning up this afternoon. I went with this small stagger in tire size to try and keep from getting understeer with a 225/255 setup. Also it will be a while before i go FI and have serious power so this is enough grip to keep it fun, i can always go with a 255/35 later on the back if neccessary.

The DW's are a dream so far, i had 235/40 Nitto Motivo's all around which were very good for an all season but the 225/40 up front and more summer oriented design has definitely sharpened things up. It's only been a day but the ride quality and noise are just as good as the all season which is great also.

Pics added, Toyota emblems from Pure Automotive installed also. Check out the fishbowl passenger side taillight, getting that replaced tomorrow.

Need to lower some more too...

I hate how a 3 piece look wheel will make even an 18 look "small" on this car.
Spokes curving inward doesn't help either.
I do like the design of the wheel tho.

Exactly, I like the wheel design and had been waiting to see some pics on the twins, kind of disappointed with how small the wheel looks. I still would like to see it in person to see if it looks any better and I definitely think a drop would help.

Looks good though.

Pics are kinda deceiving, they don't look as big as the 18" XXR's obviously with no lip but they don't look too small in person. It does need to be a little lower though, the Tein H Tech aren't cutting it i'm gonna have to drop it some more eventually. I like them a lot though and they are lighter than the Gram Lights...

I really want some SSR's but at $2700/set it ain't happening i got these for under $800...

They might indeed look bigger with more drop.

Couple of things to mention, they come with a valve stem that goes through the wheel and you mount the sensor in another hole in the back. Not a big deal really, hides the ugly tpms sensor though.

Another thing i have learned after all this, buy what *you* like, doesn't matter if they aren't JDM or some big name brand. I got more compliments on the car locally with the XXR's than the Gram Lights which cost $1k more. I was being a wheel snob and i'm certainly not rich enough to be a snob about anything.

Unique in this scene: utter CRAP no one else would run OR obscenely expensive things no one else can afford.

Sadly
At least you can be unique locally, right? haha

However the upside is, you can almost always see the look of it before buying, and know what tire sizes work... so that's a plus.
