How similar are all the different carbon parts?

Do I need to buy all one manufacturer in order for all the carbon pieces to "match"? How similar is the carbon for all the carbon fiber part manufacturers such as APR, Seibon, and Rexspeed?

I understand the difference between the dry and "wet" carbon...
Also the 1x1 and 2x2 weave... I'd assume doesn't look that similar to each other...

Besides that does all the wet carbon look the same so that I could mix and match various brands on my car and it will look "right"?

Some factors to consider (among many things):

-Type of part being made or overlaid in carbon might affect the way the weave looks, as well as the direction.
For example a carbon mirror might give a slightly different effect because of the contours and direction used compared to a flat piece of a top surface of a bumper lip.
-Size of the weave.
-Type of weave (i.e. plain or twill weave)
-Manufacturer and the process they use to make it.

Sometimes even parts from the same manufacturer can vary in look, especially if they're hand-laid. Most times it's best to stick with the same company for the sake of it.
