Opinions Needed on Greddy/Trust Spoiler

I'm considering purchasing the Rexspeed lip kit in carbon fiber for my FRS. I like the way it looks and love the price. My favorite kit is the Varis Arising I but I just cant justify spending that kind of money on a lip kit with the other stuff I have in the works for the car. The Rexspeed just seems like a great option for adding to the look of the car. Originally I was planning on doing a trunk lip style spoiler with it but that seems to be what a lot of people have been doing. The Greddy/Trust spoiler caught my eye the other day and it doesn't appear to be a very popular option. How do you guys think that spoiler would flow with the Rexpeed kit? The spoiler is not as aggressive as some which I like, but it does add some flair to the rear of the car. Just looking for opinions. Thanks

I personally don't care for the mounting stalks, but I think the primary reason that you don't see it often is because I doubt any local vendors are going to carry it - meaning you can probably expect to pay shipping costs close to what the wing itself goes for, and then you'll have to find a reliable shop to paint it which also won't be cheap - unless you want to have it painted overseas before it gets sent to you, and risk having the paint damaged or marred during the shipping.

Well - you need to decide between form and function and what you want to accomplish. A functional wing has been designed to create maximum downforce while dissipating the force appropriately to the structure in a safe and reliable manner. This is not a cheap option but it makes this car stick to the ground much better at higher speeds. If it's looks you are going for - that's subjective.

I like that wing simply because of the looks. I'm not sure its that functional. Honestly a functional wing would probably suit my needs better as the car is a weekend/occassional track vehicle. The problem is I dont like huge spoilers. Decisions decisions
