ATTN: iPhone 5s Users!

So iOS 7 comes with a handy flashlight app that turns on the white LED.

Out of curiosity and boredom, is there an app out there or a way of making only the AMBER LED on as a flashlight?

Yes, I know, I've reached the epitome of boredom and sleeplessness at 3 AM in the morning. I have to wait until daytime though to drive my BRZ (at least with a purpose).

If I'm not mistaking, there is no amber led on the iPhone 5S (unsure about this). But I do know that the iPhone 5S has dual LED flash with the 2 LEDs stacked one above the other in the back.

If your trying to just lower down the brightness of the led, a flashlight app had that capability.

common and effective argument

but

The problem is context. A good editor can re-arrange individual bits of your recorded life and manipluate them to fit almost any profile. The more of your life you put out, the easier their job.

Journalists do this all the time, and they create sensational news by modifying mere sentences.. imagine if they had access to to everything a person ever texted or said in the span of the last 5 years.

You could be a law abiding citizen until one day when you feel the urge to protest against something. Then the government scruitinizes your life and makes it look like you've been a rebell all your life then throw you in jail for 20 years.

Context is everything... and the way our legal system is setup, you'd need to have a dang good lawyer and your own access to your own NSA file to mount any type of worthy defence.

just for this and giggle

try to use a freedom of information request and write to the NSA demanding their complete profile on you, if they have one, see where that gets you.

Your indifference is understandable.

But you should consider the fact that as a social group we have never had our lives recorded with such accuracy and fidelity... and that the recording isn’t being done by ourselves, it’s being concentrated in the hands of single powerhouses that analyze that data beyond our wildest imaginations.

We’re not afraid of the consequences because we can’t really bother to imagine just how bad it COULD be. And the possibilities are literally endless.

I can bet you that every Monday the NSA cooks up a new way to cross reference and correlated unrelated pieces of information to formulate graphs and projections that no one thought of before.

If statistics taught me anything, it’s that the more variables you have the easier it is to manipulate your data to fit an argument.

Shit’s real, so watch yo back
