Fort Worth and Grand Prairie police have partnered with the Texas Motor Transportation Association, the Commercial Vehicle Safety Alliance initiative and the Grand Prairie ISD to promote existing safety laws during Operation Safer Driver week starting Sunday.

Cell phones should be illegal unless the call is made through a hands free device IMO. People can't drive enough as is, especially when it starts to barely rain. I find myself getting angrier at people either not driving the speed limit and poking, or not leaving a light at a reasonable time because they're messing with their phone.

I even signed a contract with my job that I will not use my phone, gps, or anyother device while driving. It's even to the point where we have stopped conference calls to tell someone on the line to pull over.
