General GMAX AS-03
I picked up 19" rims, and I was wondering what folks think about the General GMAX AS-03.

I assume you live in the areas without much snow?
If you want more grip in the summer, this isn't the way to go. They will be adequate at best during the winter. If the area you're in sees temps routinely below 45F in the winter, put some real winter tires on your stock wheels and put real summer tires on your good wheels. All-seasons are just year-round compromises. |

Compare to crappy oem all season Turanza, it does provide better grip and performance on dry condition, but NOT much tho. I was very impressed with braking also wet traction. I chose this because I can't afford another set of wheels and winter tires. And if it snows bad, I would rather grab my cell phone to call my work to notify that I will be late or absent due to weather.
Anyway, I love this tire and it works for me. I totally agree with people saying that summer tires way better in summer then all season and winter tires are way better in cold/snow/icy weather, but I would rather think this way. All seasons are better then summer tires in winter and also better than snow tires in the summer lol. If you have to drive your beloved FR-S in the snowy weather and can afford another set of tires and wheels, then get good snow tires. Last edited by nunonuna; 09-14-2013 at 04:55 PM. |

I used to use these on A4. I didn't drive the Audi that hard, so I can't comment on the dry traction. It wan't that bad though. It is overall great all season tire at low price. No complaints for me!
