Head unit not dimming with lights BRZ

I had my battery disconnected while I was wiring up my dash cam and after hooking everything back up my head unit does not dim the display when I turn the lights on.

After I re connected the battery I had to redo all the navigation settings but my xm presets and stored favorites remained in the radio.

I went though all the map settings and it is set to dim with the lights. I am not sure if the dash cam install caused this or I am missing something on the radio. I wired the cam using an add a fuse in the unused slot under the OBD fuse. I looked around to see if I could do a factory reset on the head unit but I have not seen an option or been able to find instructions in the service manual or the internet.

any ideas?

I tried unplugging the camera and it caused no change in the radio behavior. Here are some pictures of my settings.

Most HU's have a 12v input to let it know when the lights are turned on, I'd check to make sure there isn't a connection missing since you had the dash apart.

I didn't really take the dash apart just the cover under the steering wheel to get to the fuse box

How did you plug in the dash cam without the HU out? I would still make sure nothing is disconnected, the dimming will be driven off a signal, not by time of day.

The camera does not connect to the head unit at all I just needed to run a line to the fuse box for power. I ran it down the a pillar down to the fuse box under the steering wheel.
