CHP bias

Last night I was driving home on the freeway and was following a group of cars going the same direction. CHP clocked everyone and followed each and every car in the group. Of all the cars, he decided to pull me over for speeding. My car is new and still got dealer plates. Also the FR-S is sporty and attracts unwanted attention at times.

The ironic part is that he admitted that everyone was speeding but his manner was that he solely targeted my car (because it was new w/o plates). Talk about hating.

Luckily I have a clean record and a good lawyer who deals with traffic violations. Time to pay a visit to Johnnie Cochran TBD...

PMok, I believe these "only work" if you actually make the "minimum" donation.

Certain levels of donations gives you a special card where you also get to show it off to CHP along with your ID.

That stuff doesn't really work anymore. I have a plate frame that states I have CHP in my immediate family. Never got me out of anything so I stopped using it. Though it was a speeding ticket in a speed trap, so who knows. Maybe I'll put it on for LA to try and avoid another tint ticket.

Well that was dumb on your part. You should have slowed down if you know there's a chippy following. Everyone was fair game in that group and he could only pull over one car. They usually like to pick the one car that stood out. Often times they also look for the people that don't slow down to the speed limit when being followed, ie not paying attention.

1 tapioca drink says that if your BRZ was in the same situation I was in, CHP would have pulled you too. Most law enforcement officers give preferential treatment to domestics. I know this firsthand from the experiences from a few close friends.

Predicting a CHP's predatory-like actions is like knowing where the stock market will go. If we all knew that, we'd all be rich or labeled as inside traders.

I always slow down when I see a chippy. Plus LTC will sometimes get you out of a ticket.

It's harder for me to maintain a higher speed with the BRZ vs my WRX. Although more people coax me into racing compared to when I had my WRX. Must be racing season
