Bad luck with tires..

Hey guys, so in the past couple weeks I've had a nail in my drivers side rear tire. Had it patched. A few days after that I had a monster nail in my passenger rear and it isn't holding a plug and patch...... I only have 1900 miles on the car..

Anyways, I'm about to order a replacement tire and then realize the insane price of the stock Michelin Primacy HP tires so I figure it would just make more sense to replace all the tires with something different. Would you guys recommend something else on these stock rims that will be similar without costing a fortune?

Any help is appreciated!

I didn't say I want a nail proof tire.... just something that isn't overpriced like the Michelin HP's.... they are $230 around here.

Falken FK452 if you want a summer tire.
Cooper Tire Zeon if you want a all season
should be good choices on a budget.

Get rid of those stock tires unless you like to swing the back end out!!!

Thanks for your advice!

I do like to swing the back end out lol but I will admit that in the rain they are just garbage. I was just surprised at how expensive they were for such a low grip tire.

Yeah that's a good idea the only thing is I live in Canada so it's a real pain to do shipping here. Might check some local classifieds though.

It was right in the middle of the tread, it was weird to me too but I think the way it punctured and the size of the nail just did it in. Tried plug and patch twice...

+1 for finding a used set of stock tires, I sold mine for $300 with less than 8k km's on them.
