Impromptu Kancamagus Run

I can't believe I didn't think of posting this earlier.... I'm planning a trip for business to Portland, ME on Friday.

I'm taking my car rather than my Jeep so that I can stay the night and then travel over to the mountains the next morning to visit this road I've heard such great things about.

I know it's last minute AND there are two meets that evening (I'm going to try to make Mohegan myself) but just figured I'd post this up here to see if anyone relatively close would be interested in meeting me?

If anyone posts that they may be interested I'll PM you my phone number and we can coordinate.

It's a 90 minute ride from my hotel in Maine to the eastern end of the Kancamagus. Anyone interested could meet me in ME and we could make that trip together or meet me in Conway, NH.

I know it was incredibly last minute and there were two significant meets going on so I'm not surprised no one was interested. I went alone and had a blast...despite being sick as a dog (and chugging night time tylenol cold medicine without realizing it....).

There was a Mini cruise going on. They were broken into several smaller groups of between 10 and 20. There was possibly as many as 200 Minis cruising the highway. I caught a few pics.

The Kanc is a pretty special road. I've only driven it solo once and it was a blast because I caught it at just the right time. No traffic, sun setting, and (thankfully) no moose incidents. Glad you got to experience it!
