Radio's. I miss XM. FR-S owners, what have you done?

I'm looking into getting the "module" mentioned in my manual for the factory radio but I'm not sure it's gonna happen. I would prefer to not get a new radio installed cause I don't want my dash cut into. Gonna see if I can get a Subru BRZ radio to change out. Does anyone know if that can be done? What have you done for your car to get XM?

Thanks for all your input...Michelle

Just found out the Subru radio cost $2,338...that's crazy so that option is out.

Look forward to your informative replies.....

I think there a lot of double din radios that will fit in our cars. Just choose one with xm radio. Simplicity in sound just had a grand opening last week and they look and sound great on the installs. They are located somewhere in milpitas.

I miss sat radio also, but I just went out and bought a 16GB iPod nano and leave it hooked up in the glove compartment.

You have bluetooth audio. All you need is a smartphone with Pandora.

Just download the SiriusXM app for your smart phone and plug it into your head unit. It works great and as long as you have unlimited data is super cheap!

It is referred to the size of the stereo. The smaller radio's that we are use to is the size of a single din. Double din would be the size of 2 small stereos. One on top of the other.

I don't have a smart phone. Believe it or not, I finally caved a few months ago and got my first cell phone. I resisted for a long time....

As a BRZ owner, I wouldn't recommend it anyway even if it was priced better, you're better of with a different unit

It's not that bad... well certainly don't spend that much to buy a new one, but if you could somehow get one used from a BRZ owner who upgraded, it isn't the worst radio ever... just don't like the scarcity of buttons, nearly everything has to be done on touchscreen which is harder to use while driving. Too distracting to even just change the radio station.
