When should I order this car?
Hey guys,
I wasn't really interested in driving until I came across the BRZ/FR-s reviews. It seemed like I instantly fell in love. For the first time, I WANTED to drive. But the car has to be one of these two :P I'm hoping to get this car by the end of this summer. Perhaps September-October? The more I read, the more I see that most people have pre-ordered theirs. Will I have to do the same? Or will it be more readily available by then? This is my first post btw :P And this is going to be my first car too =) Located in Ottawa! |

From my understanding of it, the wait time is longer for BRZ's than for an FR-S. I ordered my FRS in the second week of May and I'm getting it the third week of June, so I would say your looking between 6-8 weeks from order dates (if your dealers demand is similar to mine). Your best bet is to email your dealership and ask them what their current ETA's are

Do you think I'll be safe to wait until August to order this then? |

I don't know how it's like in Canada but keep an eye out for one at your local dealer. Every one of the three dealers within 15 minutes of me has one in the showroom right now. The only problem is they are all automatics.
![]() A scion dealer near me also has an auto FR-S in the showroom. I feel like this is going to be a normal thing. Does anyone know the ratio of A/T to M/T Subaru is producing? |

Hey all,
Seeing as I'm new and can't start my own topics yet, this thread seemed the most appropriate to carry my question. I'm looking into buying the Scion FR-S but am debating whether to wait until September in hopes of cutting better deals or to just pick it up around June. Financially, I'm already solid by June but my family keeps telling me it would be ridiculous to buy a car in summer because prices are higher. Any thoughts? Thanks |

Familiarize yourself with Scion fair pricing. It doesn't matter when you buy it, it will cost you the same.

If you can afford it in June, buy it in June. I got my BRZ over 10 months ago and I still smile every time I leave my house to walk toward it.

, such a nice car for the price. If you want a BRZ you might as well order now though, there's probably still a long waitlist for it.

Why would you wait until most of the summer is gone? Test drive one and you will be hooked (at least that is the way it was for me). I waited, until I could find one, test drove it, and then bought the very car that I test drove.
