is CarMD a good code reader?

I'm in the market on purchasing a code reader. I remember I saw an infomercial about CarMD. What do you guys think about that? It's about $120. Is that a fair price? I don't want a really cheap crappy reader, but I also don't need a top of the line professional reader either. If CarMD is not good for its price, what other reader should i look into? Any input is appreciated.

That sounds expensive. Do you have an android phone? Or an iPhone? There are apps that work with Bluetooth or WiFi OBD2 readers that give you a lot more info than just codes, and the price is cheaper.

I have a bluetooth OBDII reader (specifically, this one -> [ame="http://www.amazon.com/BAFX-Products-Bluetooth-diagnostics-compatible/dp/B005NLQAHS"]BAFX Products (TM) - ELM 327 Bluetooth OBD2 scan tool - For check engine light and other diagnostics - Android compatible : Amazon.com : Automotive[/ame]) that works perfectly. Takes about 30 seconds to sync with my Android phone initially but afterwards I can read codes and information with Torque Pro. I have helped a bunch of people out with reading codes with this device without any problems. For around $20, you can't really go wrong.

i never knew about those bluetooth OBD readers. i'd probably go with those, so much cheaper than CarMD.
