They aren't in the same class, one is rwd and the other is fwd.

if i was going to make a point as to how they arent in the same class i would bring up the fact that the clio is about $7500 cheaper. rwd and fwd are both found in this class they are comparing. half of the cars the frs is getting compared to are fwd.

it is that much cheaper down there, but if it was imported here, i am not sure it would be cheaper. taking a guess here, it almost in the calss of a GTI, a bit under in the torque but thats what it is reminding me of

depends on how you are defining class... in this comparison, they were using price point and relative buyer interest.
A person who would entertain buying a clio rs would more than likely be entertaining the idea of the fr-s. I think if the cars had the same tires on, they could accurately portray the grip, but the fr-s comes stock with slippery ones for increased fun at legal speeds

It's "cheaper" in Europe but not here, importing it would drive the price up.
