Tokyo trip
Hi all, will be going to Tokyo next month for work, near Shibuya train station.
Never been before so should be interesting, my questions are: Is it cheaper for parts over in Tokyo? Where would I go to get things? And what should I get? ![]() Also any other non related useful info is always appreciated. Thanks guys Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2 |

Not sure about where to get parts from, but you're gonna be in a bloody good location to get around. So much to see and do over there. Soak in the atmosphere and culture as much as you can, and you'll have a great time. Food is simply awesome!
The thing about car parts is that even if you can get it cheaper over there, carrying them back or shipping them back can be a challenge. But if you're into jap anime sub culture and shit, there are some great places to get heaps of cool toys and figures/figurines. |

Shibuya Toyopet is great.
Also try Toyota Megaweb at Pallet Town on Odaiba Island, the Area 86 was under construction when I went at Xmas so should be finished now. There is also the Toyota History Garage there too, definitely worth a visit. |

As an example, endless brake pad full set is 45,000 yen at Super Autobacs. Streeter price is around 30,000 for item and around 10,000-12,000 yen for his commission and postage. I couldn't be bothered carrying a few kg around Tokyo....
