The Preaching pulpit for FRS

This is an area for those of you who continually want to jump in and preach about everything from yellow lines, to speed, to turns, to saving lives, and then throw in "we will kick you out".
So, let it all out here, instead of trying to throw your nickel in and busting up threads with your lectures of right and wrong. Leave the posters posts intact.
The admins will delete anything they think soils the FRS "rep", so you do not have to concern yourself with anybody that might be a "Felony".
Let the rest of us enjoy the thread we went to read about.
Thanks in advance.
Now post away, seed your need to preach, here and now. Let the rest of the posters go in peace if it is not your thing.

So are you admitting to hooliganism? How do we mark the menace to society?

I vote for a permanent pink name so all can know of your irresponsibility.

LOL. Ill start.

Everyone that turns off their "nannies" and decides to drive without them constantly, stfu. Youre the only ones wrecking your cars. Turn off the nannies when you NEED to or are permitted to in a SAFE and CLOSED environment. Youll have no sympathy from me for wrapping your car around a tree.

When I started driving I never had "nannies" to aid my driving. It was called being responsible. Driving aids or not, if someone is acting a fool, they're gonna wreck their car. People who rely on aids to do the driving for them instead of learning the limits of their car are the ones I'm looking out for. That being said, I'll drive with mine on or off as I please. Mostly off.

You are absolutely permitted to drive your vehicle however you like - I wont stop you. All I am saying is that there is been many many times with drivers who are new to a front engined rear-wheel-drive platform who have destroyed their cars because they want to drive "spiritedly"

Anyone who wants to "push" their car should join the scca and look for a performance driving school. If you do not have a new outlook for your driving habits and vehicle, you were not pushing your limits as a driver.

Here's my theory on the "nannies". I believe that all modern cars have a data logger that logs the last X minutes of date prior to an accident. For example, RPM, speed, etc. I would be surprised if this doesn't also capture the status of driving aids. If I turn them off and have an accident, can the insurance company, or worse yet, LEA's use this data to point at an inclination to drive "at the limit" aka recklessly at the time of the accident? I think yes. I'll leave them alone unless I feel the need due to conditions (I.e. wheel spin needed to escape snow covered parking lot)' or I'm in a confined and safe area.

My two bits.

I think we should find all the people who have never broken the speed limit (even to pass a car), never driven with less than two hands on the wheel, never failed to use their turn signal, never squeaked through the last yawning second of a yellow light, never failed to come to a full and complete stop at a stop sign, and have never been cited by law enforcement for any driving infraction. That way, we'll all know who the liars are.

i dont really mind people enjoying the car. i just think its dangerous at this price point to offer such a lively product. i think it can be a good thing but its odd that people think the frs is cursed when there is a significant showing of people driving irresponsibly.

I think you are delirious. Look at mustang, cheaper, more power, not smooth, and many more than frs.
Now, what is point you were trying to make?

To be fair, most of the cursed posts i read were caused by carelessness of other drivers or dbags who key our cars
