Navigation Units

Hi guys. I'm very interested to see how you guys route and wire your GPS units (if its hardwired into your car). Please post pics! thanks!
P.S by GPS i don't mean headunit navigation, I mean like Garmin and those stuff.

I would just do it the one fashion way. Get the unit. Use the cradle when in use. And when it isn't. Put it away. I wouldn't leave it visible. Gives thieves 1 less reason to look at your car. My gf learned the hard way with leaving her cradle exposed.

Android smartphones can also use TomTom, Navteq and other "offline" software. What's missing is official support for iGo...

I like my (Android) phone much better than the old navigation unit I was using before; it locks very fast, it supports not only GPS but also GLONASS and it's much more sensitive (due to the newer hardware).
If you already have such a smartphone, I don't see why you would buy a dedicated navigation unit.

I think there's a DIY for hardwiring in a GPS or camera or radar detector. I'm heading out the door at the moment and can't search for ya. But I think it's in there
