BRZ vs 86 interior
seems like the sub is gonna have a MUCH MUCH better interior quality.
in the vids ive seen the dash has leather and aluminum unlike the plastic and carbon fiber printed bits ( not real carbon ). also the BRZ is going to have leather seats as i seen in the videos, the 86 seats are normal fabric ? seems like the BRZ is going to have more quality and going to be more expensive. id pick the BRZ to be honest because i LOVE good interior. opinions ? |

I actually like the CF dash in the Toyota better because it might not be as distracting. I also like the white tach on the Toyota.
I like the steering wheel and more subdued coloring in the Subaru though. The seats... I DON'T want half-and-half seats (half vinyl/leather, half cloth/alcantra). I want ALL cloth or ALL alcantra, so if the Subaru has that half and half thing going on, I'd prefer an all cloth seat from the Toyota. |

Only thing I liked of the BRZ interior was the tach. Personally I prefer the black background.
Save the money, just go with fabric seats

I like the white tach...is that real aluminum in the BRZ? Looks plastic.
I still love the BRZ interior. But there is actually too much fake aluminum... You can get the 86 without the red steering wheel and seats. And it's alcantra/leather...just like the BRZ. I can't believe there are 8 speakers in these cars! |

After seeing both cars up close i do believe the Subaru is a more premium car than the Toyota. However, all will rest on price for me.
Is the BRZ worth paying more money than the 86? In my opinion.... No. All the bits i liked on the BRZ are simple parts which i could easily buy from Subaru and fit to my 86. I'd much prefer to own a Toyota than a Subaru and would also prefer to go with the cheaper model (which is almost certainly going to be the Toyota). But i think the price different between the two will be a lot smaller than people think. I just cant see anything on the Subaru that would warrant thousands more. Hundreds more maybe...... |
