AFE Drop In + Perrin Non Resonated Dyno Results
Here is my dyno. 11/28/12 in Arlington, TX at Alamo Autosports. Dynojet dyno. The normal big dip is blank - shop said it seemed like ignition timing cutting out causing the issue. AFE drop in gave 3 hp, Perrin added another 5 hp and 3 ft lbs tq. About what I expected - I didn't do this to gain power. I really like the exhaust note. ECU really learns. They had to do a lot of runs to get it to adapt to the exhaust.

You might have gained some peak HP but if you look you also lost power when you added the exhaust on the very top end, even compared to stock. Wonder if things were too rich of the ECU is still learning.

On my car, the ECU learning didn't really affect power. I was within 1-3whp between "learning" runs and "learned" runs. I was kind of hoping for more power from the Perrin, though. I put down 174 with just an SRT exhaust, stock intake and filter.
I was imagining a Perrin exhaust with a turbo kit would be as quiet as stock for a real sleeper, but it looks like it only flows slightly better than stock. |

I wouldn't expect much gains from any exhaust unless the Cat is replaced with High Flow or removed altogether.

How much research did you do on the AFE filter? Was there something that made you want it over other drop in filters?
