First Oil Change to the shop
Can I bring in my car to a shop that does oil changes and they'll take care of everything? Or do I need to bring in my own oil? I'm not sure if shops carry the correct oil for the BRZ. It's already difficult finding the correct oil to buy online...Do I also need to provide them a filter/gasket? Anything else I need? Thanks!

The shop will take care of everything, all you need to bring in is the cash, lol. Im sure any shop will carry the correct oil as well. Nobody goes out and buys the oil and filter and then takes it to a shop, at least i wouldnt, id just do it myself if i had to buy everything beforehand

Customers bring in their own oil to my shop all the time... it saves you money! We charge 15$ to change customers oil that bring their own oil/filter in
but you can have them do it no problem just bring cash and request specifically 0w20 full synthetic |

Also, is it okay if I wait until 7500 miles to do my first oil change? I don't track my car or drive it very hard...but it seems like the general consensus on this board is to do their oil change as early as possible. But if the manual says to do the first one at 7500 miles, I'm sure its ok right??

![]() Picked up a (free) filter when I bought the car, got some oil a week later. Went to change my oil and realized the car didn't go up my rhino ramps. The dealership changed it on their lift for free.

lol, i guess it could save you money when youre using synthetic. I had a truck before this car and buying conventional oil was more expensive than what an oil change would cost if i took it to the shop

I would at least bring my own OEM oil filter. If the aftermarket filter explodes and causes engine damage, you're not going to be covered under warranty.

Pick up the low profile Rhino Ramps and you'll be all set. I used them and 2 jack stands to install my headerback exhaust without any rubbing or issues. The alternative is to build a step-up with some wood.

There are many shop which do great job but there are some which will only take more money from you, so its all up to you to select good shop or you can take it to the companies servicing center.
