cel with intake change
has anybody had this issue? I added a custom air intake tube using the stock air box withy a TRD hogh flow air filter. almost emediatly the cel came on, changed to the stock unit still qith the TRD and disconnected the battery to fix it. A buddy of mine told that since it's electronic throttle car I have to diconnect the battery, change the intake and then let it tddle for a couple of minutes so that the ecu can get used to the difference in air flow in the mix. Is this true? what do you recommend? thanks!

The CEL came on again this morning, I re-set it and drove it with out passing 4000rpm. should I continue to do this until said time?

Your ECU is telling you your car is running lean. The only way you can drive the car with that intake is getting a specific tune for it. So either get an ECUTek and get it tuned, or just go back to stock. You can hurt your engine running lean.

Thank You Man! i was looking into the EcuTek, You just decided my next Mod. What's interesting is that I used to have it on with out problems until I installed a Custom muffler delete, but the muffler delete by itself gives me no problems at all!
